Health Holland has announced the appointment of Conny Helder to its Board, marking the next step in the organisation's governance renewal announced earlier this year.

Helder brings extensive experience from both healthcare management and public administration. She previously served as the Dutch Minister for Long-term Care and Sport and later as Minister of Health, Welfare and Sport. Before entering national politics, she held various executive and supervisory positions within the Dutch healthcare sector.

According to Health Holland, Helder's appointment is intended to further strengthen the organisation's governance and support its mission of driving both economic and societal impact through innovation in Life Sciences & Health.

Commenting on her appointment, Helder said: "Innovation in healthcare requires strong connections between science, entrepreneurship and clinical practice. Only by working together can we develop new solutions that not only create economic value, but also contribute to better, accessible and future-proof healthcare for everyone."

Health Holland stated that Helder's broad expertise in healthcare policy and leadership will contribute to advancing collaboration between academia, industry, healthcare providers and government within the Dutch Life Sciences & Health ecosystem.
