Haifen Hu is the founder and owner of Hyphen Projects and BCF Courses. After studying in Biotechnology at Wageningen University, she began her career at BioPartner Network before launching her own company Hyphen Projects in 2004. Through Hyphen Projects, Haifen has launched and led several impactful initiatives, including BCF Career Event (the largest life sciences career fair in the Benelux), Innovation for Health, BioBusiness Summer & Winter School, and TOPX Network, which she founded in 2020 as a platform for connecting and supporting ambitious women in life sciences. She also co-founded the recruitment company PRIMER Professionals in 2016 and sold it in 2018 to DPA Professionals. In 2024 she became the new publisher of the magazine BiotechNEWS & Life Sciences and in Spring 2026 she is launching BiotechNews.eu together with Schuttelaar & Partners, as the online news platform for the biotech community in the Netherlands & Belgium.
